Sildenafil is indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It is also indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

Dosage
The usual dosage for sildenafil (50 mg) in adults is one tablet taken once a day.
Administration
For oral administration. Take this medicine by mouth, with or without food. The medicine should be taken with water. The dose may be increased or decreased in duration as determined by the doctor.
Contraindications
Sildenafil should not be taken with nitrates. The combination of nitrates and alpha-blockers may lead to a significant drop in blood pressure when combined. This may occur even if not affected by other medicines. Patients who are taking other medicines with alpha-blockers should speak to their doctor before starting the use of sildenafil.
Special Precautions
Before taking sildenafil (50 mg) in combination with any other medicine, it is important to tell the doctor if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or if you have any other medical conditions, especially the following:- pulmonary hypertension (PAH): Sildenafil should not be taken with alpha-blockers.
